About Wadeng

Wadeng Wings of Hope exists in order to make a difference in the lives of people in South Sudan, first of all to the people in and around the village of Duk Padiet in the state of Jonglei, and then to people in the surrounding county.

The reason for Wadeng Wings of Hope and its involvement is both deeply personal and humanitarian. Jacob Deng was born there, escaped a war ravaged home-land at the age of seven as one of the “Lost Boys of Sudan”, and has since dedicated his life to rebuilding the lives of those in Southern Sudan less fortunate than him.
