Filmed in 2006, "Wings of Hope" documents Jacob Deng's first trip back to his hometown of Duk Padiet, Southern Sudan, since he escaped at age 7. There, he announces his intentions to help rebuild the crumbled education system, and encounters some unexpected surprises that change his life forever.
