How You Can Help Wadeng
Donations both small and large are urgently needed to make the goals of Wadeng possible, and Jacob’s message at schools, churches, universities, community organizations, in the newspapers, and on television has inspired many to give generously and to become volunteers.
Donations can be made under the following campaign headings (although they do not have to be specifically designated):
The Goat Campaign: November to the end of January annually
We have had an annual Goat Campaign every year since 2005, which raises funds to provide goats to villagers who in turn can breed them for milk and meat. Jacob has personally distributed goats in Duk county, starting in 2006 with 120 goats, and again in 2008. In 2007 and 2009 a member of the Duk community distributed our goats, and to date over 300 goats have been given to needy families and individuals.
Your gift of a goat can make a world of a difference to a child in South Sudan, and this year our goal is to provide another 300 goats.
The Brick by Brick Campaign: any time
The cost of building and operating a primary school is close to $500,000.
We encourage churches, schools and community groups to organize fundraising events to support Wadeng's goals.
